Wedding Flip Flops and Sandals

It's a growing trend, every year we get more people ask us - "Do you have wedding flip flops?"

And every year we introduce more styles in whites, creams and beige to match the various dresses and bridal wear. We had a request last year for a tiny pair of white flip flops to be used to decorate the cake!

It doesn't necessarily need to be a wedding somewhere hot either. Let's face it people generally prefer wearing flip flops and sandals and if it's your special day why shouldn't you wear what you want?

We also get asked by just as many people about flip flops or sandals for brides maids as we do for brides or simply guests. Generally though for guests or brides maids it's best to look at our full range as most come in various styles and colours and it really depends on the outfit being worn. With so many styles dressed with flowers, bows, butterflies and gems it is normally easy to find at least one or two pairs that match the outfit nicely.

Which are the most popular flip flops for weddings?

There seems to be two groups really. The first group is, I think more obvious, and that is people looking for pretty wedding sandals. They want something that is delicate normally with a flower and with a small heel. But, they also want something that is comfortable, remember it's a long day and if your shoes are not perfect it could get quite hard dancing the night away.

The second group are much more serious about it being a flip flop. They want the wedding flip flop, flat soled with a toe post and the classic straps across your foot. This group generally are people that want to have their wedding their way - and why not? What about if I only want flip flops for after the church?

It is quite understandable, it's a very special day and every women wants to be a princess, complete with glass slippers and a prince charming when she gets married. But not many glass slippers are ideal for the long day and dancing into the evening. If you want a pretty wedding sandal or the classic white flip flop for after the ceremony or even if you're looking for a funky coloured beach flip flop to chill in, the best thing to do is look at the entire range of sandals and flip flops and find the style that matches your fantasy.
