Just because the government and shops have fallen out of love with summer, it doesn't mean we have to!

The sun has come back and with it hopefully the summer feeling we've all been craving. Bring on the bar-be-ques going on late into the night, walks on the beach and loud happy music.

I'm delighted to see there are bright and beautiful shoes like this Athena sandal. In fact, this one's been reduced from £19.95 to just £14.95.

Whether it is Mr Murdoch, the terrible economy or just the lack of sunshine, I wish everyone would stop being so pessimistic. I think and hope the weather, like the economy is turning for the better and everyone will soon be smiling again.
